Maritimes & Northeast (M&N) has limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances.  Effective 9:00 AM CCT, June 30, 2026, M&N requires all shippers and point operators to keep actual daily takes out of the system equal to or less than scheduled quantities regardless of their cumulative imbalance position unless otherwise coordinated with your operations account representative.
Additionally, M&N continues to require all Power Plant Operators to provide information mandated by FERC Order No. 698 until further notice. Information required includes the hourly consumption profile of directly connected power generation facilities.
To the extent shippers and/or point operators do not adhere to this requirement, M&N will utilize any provision of its tariff to ensure system integrity including the issuance of customer specific or system wide OFOs.
This notice will remain in effect until further notice.

Maritimes & Northeast Canada (MNCA) has limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances.  Effective immediately, MNCA requires all shippers and point operators to carefully review demand for gas and schedule gas consistent with daily needs and to tender and receive gas consistent with confirmed nominations regardless of their cumulative imbalance position.
Correspondingly, effective immediately, the previously posted imbalance notice is no longer in effect.
Shippers are required to coordinate any imbalance payback through MNCA's account representative and actual payback quantities may be limited depending on system operations and conditions.
If necessary, MNCA will utilize any provision of its tariff to ensure system integrity including the issuance of customer specific or system wide OFOs.

Maritimes Canada (MNC) has been experiencing large daily Due Shipper imbalances. Effective for Gas Day May 23, 2026, MNC requires shippers and point operators not to exceed daily due shipper imbalances of 500 GJ or 10% (whichever is greater) regardless of their cumulative imbalances.   As such, MNC will not allow Transaction Type 04 nominations in excess of 500 GJ per contract.
To the extent shippers and/or point operators do not adhere to this requirement, MNC may issue customer specific OFOs pursuant to General Terms and Conditions Section 10, in order to maintain the operational integrity of the system.
This OFO will remain in effect until further notice.
Correspondingly, effective 9:00 AM CCT, May 23, 2026, the previously posted imbalance notice is no longer in effect.
