Operational AlertUntil Further Notice90 Days
Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline Canada (MNCA) has issued an Operational Flow Order effective August 8, 2026 and running until further notice (posted end date November 5, 2026). The OFO is system-wide and imposes a 12%/500 tolerance on imbalances due to the pipe, restricting shipper flexibility to leave gas in the system. No specific capacity volume is stated, but the OFO signals tightening system balance on the Canadian Maritimes corridor feeding New England.
MNCA OFO effective 8/8 tightens Canadian Maritimes supply discipline into New England; expect modest bullish pressure at Algonquin Citygate and Tennessee Zone 6 as shipper imbalance tolerance is cut and any supply shortfall has no available reroute.
Reroute: Limited: Algonquin Gas Transmission provides partial alternative for some New England deliveries but cannot replace Canadian Maritimes supply volumes; no direct bypass of MNCA exists for its core receipt points.

Maritimes & Northeast (M&N) has limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances. Additionally, M&N continues to require all Power Plant Operators to provide information mandated by FERC Order No. 698 until further notice. Information required includes the hourly consumption profile of directly connected power generation facilities.
